Dental Fillings
At Miami One Dental, we strive to ensure that you and your family’s every dental need is met. The fillings available at our practice can be made out of composite resin or glass ionomer cement. These strong materials are colour-matched to your existing teeth for a seamless look.
Aesthetically Pleasing Dental Fillings
Metal fillings used in the past contain mercury, which may impact your overall health. Instead, these tooth-coloured materials are durable and bond closely with your teeth using white resin, composite or ionomers.
Dr Kossyrev can customise the shade of your filling to look like natural teeth. Additionally, the chemical bond created releases fluoride into the structure of neighbouring teeth, preventing recurrent decay. With a tight seal, you don’t have to worry about leakage.
Composite Resin Fillings
These fillings are made up of glass particles suspended in resin. Because the fillings are used directly on the affected area of your tooth, they provide support to the structure for added strength. They are long-lasting and come in a range of colours.
Glass Ionomer Cement (GIC) Fillings
GIC is similar to composite resin fillings but is created from glass particles and an organic acid that is triggered to harden when combined with the glass. A chemical bond on the affected tooth releases fluoride to prevent any leakage and further protect from decay. Though not as durable as composite resin, GIC fillings in Miami are gentle on the nerves of teeth and your gum tissue.
White Inlays & Onlays
If your tooth has been broken, chipped, cracked, decayed or worn, inlays or onlays colour-matched to the tooth can fill in the damaged area. These are indirect fillings which are custom-made in the laboratory and then bonded to your teeth. They are made from the hardest materials such as porcelain, and are long-lasting.
